Air Everywhere

We all take our air conditioning for granted until it stops working.  Making sure your Air Conditioner gets a little bit of regular TLC ensures a clean, smoothly running unit and lowers the likelihood that you will have to deal with the stress of a breakdown in the long run. Below are three main reasons why you should have your AC units serviced at least once a year:

1. Your Health

Having a dirty AC can certainly have a negative impact on your health over time. Dirty filters and ducts can result in a build-up of allergens and bacteria in the air, which can exacerbate existing health issues or even contribute to the spread of some illness. Keeping your filters clean means less likelihood of you and your family or employees being subject to the nasties that can harbor there.

2. Efficiency of the Unit

Having a regular Service (even just once a year) will ensure that your AC is working at maximum efficiency. This means lower running costs and in the long run savings for you!

3. Avoiding A breakdown during peak use times

Having your AC break down in peak periods (which is usually the way it happens) can be at best frustrating and at worst downright dangerous particularly for the elderly, the very young, and those with compromised immunity.

Getting a technician to come out during these times can be a challenge due to high volumes of break-downs. If it’s been a while between cleans, perhaps you’re noticing a mouldy smell coming from the Air Conditioner’s vents, or the unit is not cooling or heating as well as it used to, it may well be time to book in some preventative maintenance.

Does your AC need some TLC?

Maybe it’s been 6 months to a year….perhaps it has been a little longer? Don’t wait until the unspeakable happens and you’re left without an operational air conditioner! Book in a service.

What is checked during an air conditioning service?
